This last project in my independent dance study was to show up and dance to a random song. To challenge myself further, I asked Gretchen Cohenhour to give me any song so that I had no idea what the song even was before dancing!
You Said I Was Perfect
A short phrase created to depict a perfect image in society verses your own heart and soul.
Worst Dance Ever ["Frog"]!
A short phrase created in intention to be the worst dance piece ever: Ideas played with include a frog, chicken and animal.
Body
This short, modern piece is something I wanted to create for my "body." The song is about someone who only wants a body, and intentionally, I brought in movement that worked my body in comfortable ways. I enjoyed a long 2-week process and exploring new movements for this one!
